Cheri Blanchard has been a Christ-follower since 1985, a wife to James Blanchard, and co-owner of their seafood business since 1979. She is a mother of 3, and grandmother of 9. She never met a stranger and loves to help and encourage others. She retired as an Industry Coordinator for the Louisiana Workforce Commission in 2019.

She became part of We The People Bayou as a founding board member in 2021 and is currently working as the Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee and as a member of the Education Committee.

Cheri is Fundraising Co-Chair of WTPBC, has BOARD EXPERIENCE:  Houma Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (Member 2016-Present / Chair 2022), LAT Workforce Development Board (Member 2019 – present), Southern Shrimp Alliance (Board Member 2023), Elks Club - Houma Lodge 1193 (Elks Americanism Committee Chair 22-23).
